Kutless stormed out of the Northwest at the start of the decade with a unique, melodic hard rock sound that has garnered world-wide attention. Influenced early on by mainstream rockers like Creed and Incubus, their self-titled debut album was an immediate hit and they have since well surpassed 1.5 million units sold.
Having headlined such jaunts as the Extreme Days tour and hitting the road with Casting Crowns, Kutless often plays at events to benefit children, cancer victims, and battered women. Their albums include the latest It Is Well, along with Sea of Faces, Strong Tower, Hearts of the Innocent, and To Know That You’re Alive. Today the group consists of James Mead (guitar), Nick Departee (guitar), Jeffrey Gilbert (drums), Dave Luetkenhoelter (bass), and Jon-Micah Sumrall (vocals).
