The power pop/punk band Hawk Nelson hails from Ontario, Canada and is known for its infectious, radio-friendly tunes and dynamic live performances. Its sound crosses a variety of styles and has always been fun, lively and catchy. Boasting a GMA Canada Covenant Award for their albums Live Life Loud (2009) and Smile, It’s the End of the World (2006), along with multiple Grammy, Juno and Dove nominations, today the foursome is one of the most popular performing groups touring the U.S.
In 2006, the band was voted “Favorite New Artist” by CCM Magazine in the annual Reader’s Choice Awards. Their albums also include Letters to the President (2004) and Hawk Nelson Is My Friend (2008).
As their music and message extends throughout North America and beyond, band members Jason Dunn (lead vocals, piano), Daniel Biro (bass, backing vocals), Jonathan Steingard (guitar), and Justin Benner (drums, backing vocals) are committed to giving back to the community. They recently partnered with TOMS shoes to provide shoes to children in Haiti as part of TOMS “One for One” initiative.
