FOLLOW UP

Coming to faith in Jesus Christ is an exciting, life-changing event. We anticipate hundreds - even thousands! - of people to respond to the Gospel at CityFest. But equally important is following up with (discipling) each of these new or recommitted believers. They will need resources, help, encouragement and a place among believers to call home. Make sure your church is prepared to respond.

"Therefore go and make disciples." - Matthew 28:19

"Train a child in the way he should go, and when he is old he will not turn from it." - Proverbs 22:6

As a partnering church, a couple of days after the festival you will receive a list of those who responded in your church’s area. You must submit a plan (see below). Here is what you can do now to be ready: 

  • Establish a follow-up strategy for those who respond to Christ and are referred to your church after the festival.
  • Submit this plan to the CityFest office prior to the festival.
  • Welcome the new believers who are referred to your church from the festival.
  • Submit to the CityFest office a report on how follow-up is going.
